5th Tick - Try the Japanese pancakes at Gram Cafe in Melbourne

This was an easy tick off the list. I'd seen this place pop up on my feed and I happened to be going to Chaddy to buy a new suitcase. Perfect opportunity. Firstly, what is a Japanese Pancake and how is it different to a bog standard pancake? Also known as soufflé pancakes, they're all about the height and fluffiness darling!

In we went. Slightly less hungry than 10 minutes earlier due to the slice of pizza we'd just eaten. It was free. Gram Cafe first opened up in Sydney, but of course it didn't take long for Melbourne to say hey guys, we want one too. So where else, but that shopping mecca of the south, Chadstone. It's grown - again.

The menu had our mouths watering. We decided to share the OG Premium Pancakes - knob of butter, fresh cream, and maple syrup and also go for the Japanese Fried Chicken on Pancakes. Out came the OG Premium Pancakes. 3 in the stack jiggling and wobbling and looking like light fluffy clouds. Delicious and surely being so light and fluffy meant that they were practically calorie free? Then came the chicken ones, yes, we were rebels and ate our dessert before mains. Also very good.

Overall verdict? Well I'll have to try them again just to have something to compare them to. And maybe I'll have a go at making them.
