A new year, a new list - 61 things to do in 2026

The 2026 list is taking shape! Big dreams, questionable judgment, and the optimism of someone who still believes in adventures. Time to say yes to new experiences. Except skydiving. Or bungee jumping. Or anything involving a waiver.  Time to do something wild - like going to bed without checking the weather for tomorrow. Pure chaos. Time to learn a new skill or just learn about something new.

Ideas wanted. People to share some adventures wanted. Stay tuned - a work in progress. Here goes:

  1. Visit the Immigration Museum in Melbourne ✅️ 9 January 2026

  3. Catch the ferry to Portarlington ✅️ 16 January 2026
  4. Visit the Peninsular Hot Springs ✅️ 6 February 2026
  5. Try the Japanese pancakes at Gram Cafe in Melbourne ✅️ 7 February 2026
  6. Eat a Banh Mi at Bun Bun Bakery in Springvale (Vic) ✅️ 8 February 2026
  7. Go to the theatre at least 5 times 
  8. Eat at a Michelin starred restaurant 
  9. Lose the weight I put on in 2024
  10. Have sex with 5 different people (not at the same time - although could be efficient)
  11. Visit 5 new countries
  12. Learn to play the castanets 
  13. Visit Villajoyosa to see the colourful houses and Valor Chocolate factory
  14. Catch the TRAM d’Alacant
  15. Visit Altea (Alicante)
  16. Walk the medieval walls of Dubrovnik in Croatia
  17. Visit Harry Potter at Warner Brothers
  18. See a band at the 100 club
  19. Go to a Premier League football match
  20. Visit the Horniman Museum and Gardens (Forest Hill)
  21. Visit the Viktor Wynd Museum and drink an Absinthe cocktail
  22. Have a drink at the haunted Spaniards Inn
  23. Visit Little Venice and walk along the canals
  24. Visit the Magnificent 7 London cemetery's (2 visited)
  25. Visit Glasgow
  26. Ride the Watercress line steam train
  27. Visit Yorkshire
  28. Visit the Lakes District
  29. Visit Dover Castle
  30. Visit the Orkney's in Scotland
  31. Have afternoon tea at Peggy Porchens in London
  32. Walk the Relleu Reservoir Route in Alicante, Spain
  33. Catch the Eurostar 
  34. Visit Dracula's castle in Romania
  35. Visit Berlin
  36. Visit Tallinn in Estonia
  37. Visit Plovdiv and Sofia in Bulgaria
  38. Visit Albania
  39. Visit Slovenia
  40. Visit Malta
