Missed out on going to Walkies at Wisley last year, so when Sue suggested a visit, I thought why not. Always nice to head up to Guildford for a bit of puppy play time with Heidi.
The RHS is the UK's gardening charity, "helping people and plants to grow." Their words, not mine. And RHS Garden Wisley is a stunning garden in Surrey. Normally dogs aren't allowed, which is unusual as the UK is very dog friendly. However, several times a year, the doors are opened to dogs and they can bring along well-behaved owners, and luckily for me, well-behaved owners oldest friend. Sue and I have known each other since we were 6 or 7 back at good old Lynwood Primary School.
And so on a short trip up to Guildford, Heidi took the four (Sue, Walter, Eleanor and I) of us out on a little adventure. The afternoon started with a bit of rain as we took shelter in a cafe that was closed. And then the sun came out. Ahh British weather, gotta love it. Delightful strolling around these beautiful gardens. Even more fun was seeing all the doggies happily sniffing around and getting into the special ice-cream.
Finished the evening with what else, dinner at the pub. Ticks all round.
