I can't believe that I left Australia over 3 years ago! Where has the time gone? I remember arriving on a sunny day in London (yep, clear blue sky and gorgeous sunshine), back on the 27 February 2022 and made my way down to Southampton. From Hampton to Southampton. My new home awaited.
My aim at the time was to stay for a year and see how it went. After my first year, where a good chunk of time was spent in Spain (ah Camino memories), it was time to make a decision, head home to Australia or stay a bit longer. Definitely not ready to head home, but funds were not going to last for ever, so it was time to top up the savings with a bit of temp work.
One of my dreams was to at least live in London for a while. So at the start of last year, I moved up to London, Putney to be exact and loved living there. The only problem was, it coincided with getting my dream job as Tour Leader, so spent most of the summer back in Spain and doing a lot of travelling. Then there was the cruise, a trip to Turkey and regularly popping down to Southampton. All up, I think I spent less than a quarter of the year actually in London. But I'd done it.
And now into my 4th year, I've moved back down to Southampton. Back to being part of the Soton Gang. Except I'm not. In Soton. Because it's March and I'm back in Spain preparing for a busy tour season. Let the fun begin.
