24th Tick - Visit the Bank of England Museum

Published on 8 March 2025 at 22:47

A pathetic last week effort getting stuff done. Just got busy with other stuff, but one last attempt was made. I needed free and I needed reasonably close together.

First off, a visit to the Bank Of England Museum. Located in the "Bank" area of central London, it's a gorgeous building surrounded by other equally gorgeous buildings so definitely worthy of a last walk around before I bid farewell (for now) to London.

Founded in 1694, the museum unsurprisingly details all things money. And gold. It's also a popular place for school visits and was therefore filled with kids. Drawing stuff, finding stuff. They got a treasure map. I did not get a treasure map and was given a funny look when I tried to steal a 7 year olds map so I could also go on a treasure hunt. Oh well. the gold bar was indeed heavy.

Some interesting displays and info and worth a visit.
