3rd Tick - Sing "Mamma Mia" on Mykonos

(Just one look) and I can hear a bell ring
(One more look) and I forget everything, whoa
Mamma mia, here I go again
My, my, how can I resist you?
Mamma mia, does it show again?
My, my, just how much I've missed you?

Yes, I've been brokenhearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma mia, now I really know
My, my, I could never let you go

Having actually read the lyrics to Mamma Mia, I can honestly say I have no fucking idea why I put this on the list. Certainly doesn't apply and I definitely don't miss my ex! Not only that, but the movie Mamma Mia wasn't even filmed on Mykonos - it was shot in Damouchari and the Greek islands of Skopelos and Skiathos. Oops. My bad.

But hey ho, it was on the list and due to my complete lack of research there we were, ready to sing, Jennifer a willing participant.  The bad dancing, an added bonus and it was not a bad thing that the wind drowned out our singing. Time spent on intricate choreography moves only to screw it up in the first 10 seconds - 5 minutes. Number of takes - 2 Memories - priceless.

Here is the video , thank you to the random strangers roped in as video assistants.

But there was much more to Mykonos than singing and bad dancing. The white-washed buildings and narrow streets are gorgeous and easy to get lost in, especially as you circle the same souvenir shop ten times. There were lots of cats. And windmills. And people.

Mykonos's nickname is "The Island of the Winds" due to the very strong winds (and not to the locals penchant for beans) and we can confirm that it was indeed very windy. Mykonos is also known for its vibrant nightlife, but we had to get back on the good ship Island Princess where the nightlife is not known to be vibrant.

Oh and a funny side note, a few days later in Rhodes, I was asked by a couple to film them dancing. Popped on Zorba the Greek and we all joined in. Opa!
